Psalm 1 Man   Leave a comment

How blessed is the man who does not walk with the wicked.
He does not enjoy the pleasures of sin,
Nor does he delight in the ways of evil therein.
His soul in its presence is disturbed and sickened.

How blessed is the man who steers clear of the sinner’s path.
He carefully views where their ways lead,
And the warnings of the Lord he takes heed,
Knowing the path ends up at the foot of God’s righteous wrath.

How blessed is the man who does not sit with scoffers.
They look down at God with pride in their hearts,
A heart so fooled that sin won’t depart.
But the man does not like what this prideful scoffing offers.

Because this man delights in the law of the Lord.
He carries God’s warnings as a shield; his promise, a sword.
Knowing that with the angel’s some day he’ll sing in accord,
So on the thought of the Lord he will meditate.
His roots dig deep and his branches elevate,
The levaes stay green and the fruit is great,
Such will he prosper for he has entered the narrow gate.
